Looking for an objective Tempur-Pedic neck pillow review?
You’re in the right place.
Pillows have a huge impact on your ability to sleep soundly each night. They support your neck and head as you snooze, improving the alignment in your spine. Without a pillow, you’d probably wake up more often with a serious crick in your neck.
Different pillows can deliver unique benefits. The Silentnight goose feather pillow is an ultra-soft solution for stomach and back sleepers, while the Simba memory foam pillow is ideal for those who like firmer cushions. Today, we’re looking at the Tempur-Pedic neck pillow.
Created to encourage better spinal alignment, the Tempur Ergo neck pillow provides incredible comfort and support, particularly for those who prefer to sleep on their back or side.
Tempur-Pedic neck pillow: Design
The Tempur-pedic neck pillow is an original memory-foam style pillow from the Tempur-pedic brand. This state-of-the-art pillow comes with a unique contoured shape, intended to ensure better support for people who sleep on their sides.
However, you can get a great night’s sleep on your back too.
According to the Tempur team, this pillow was designed to follow the natural curve of the human body, allowing for a better experience as you sink into your bed.
Underneath the ultra-soft exterior, you’ll find one-of-a-kind Tempur pressure-relieving material which moulds to the shape of your neck and head.
You can get this pillow in a range of sizes, including small profile, medium profile, medium cooling, large profile, and travel-size. There’s a size guide available on the Tempur website if you’re not sure which one works for you.
Tempur-Pedic neck pillow: Features
So, is a Tempur-Pedic pillow worth it?
The Tempur-Pedic contour pillow was apparently designed in collaboration with doctors to deliver better cervical support and spinal alignment. The curve in the center of the pillow may look odd initially, but it actually helps to support your neck and shoulders as you sleep.
According to Tempur, the contoured pillow reduces neck and back strain. The memory foam is highly responsive, but it does feel quite firm for people who aren’t used to using memory foam.
The memory foam pillow relieves pressure and provides personalized support through the night. The adaptive TEMPUR material never loses its shape, offering superior alignment and support for years to come.
Features:
- 3.75-inch profile
- TEMPUR memory filling
- 100% polyester hypoallergenic cover
- Removable and washable cover
- Adaptive material bounces back
Tempur-Pedic neck pillow: Performance
The ergonomic Tempur-Pedic neck pillow cradles your head and keeps it properly positioned for spinal alignment when sleeping on your back or side.
This helps to ensure you get enough support to reduce any feelings of discomfort when you wake up each morning. Plus, the memory foam adapts to the shape and weight of your head, reducing pressure points.
The Tempur-Pedic contour pillow features a fantastic visco-elastic foam that responds to bodyweight and temperature. You might notice as you get a little warmer, your pillow feels softer.
The pillow offers optimal contouring for your head, and great support to your neck. However, we felt it was much more comfortable for side sleeping than back sleeping.
It’s also worth noting, although the pillow will contour to your head, the sinking feeling doesn’t happen immediately. Initially, this pillow might feel a little too hard for people who are more used to softer products, like the Casper pillow.
Tempur-Pedic neck pillow: bonus benefits
Tempur-Pedic is one of the better-known companies in the sleep accessories environment right now. This means buying this pillow also gives you access to all the benefits of support from a well-respected brand.
Tempur-Pedic stands by its material and workmanship, so you get a 5-year warranty to protect you against defects and problems with memory foam technology. However, this warranty may not be available from all dealers.
We were pleased to discover during our Tempur-Pedic neck pillow review that this product does have a removable cover for easier washing.
The seams on the Tempur-Pedic contour pillow are double stitched for durability, and there’s piping for better strength and aesthetics. The zipper (offering access to the pillow) runs across the length of the seam with a recessed design, so it won’t bother you while you sleep.
Tempur-Pedic neck pillow: verdict
If you have a problem with neck and shoulder strain, and you tend to sleep on your side, it’s hard to find another pillow with the same impact as this Tempur-Pedic model.
Designed specifically to support your neck, head, and spine in the perfect position, the Tempur is all about incredible alignment. We think it’s fantastic for relieving pain and discomfort.
Though a little more expensive than some memory foam pillows, the Tempur-Pedic does offer high-quality materials, and fantastic long-term comfort. However, you may find it’s not ideal for you if you sleep on your stomach or back. It’s also worth noting this pillow might be a little warmer than some of the options you’re used to.
